Margi Kent Fashion Show
Planning a fashion show in New York City is a very daunting
task. Bringing together all the various elements
within budget and on time can be very time consuming
and confusing. A typical assortment of production elements
required for a fashion show runway are lighting for the
runway and a sound system for music and introductions while
the models parade and display the products. Why not consider
getting these elements from one vendor? The coordination
would be much easier, as opposed to working with three or
more vendors. Producing an event on a limited budget is
stressful enough. Why not seek some helpful advice? This was
the reasoning that Margi Kent used while planning her
fashion show. Here is video from that event and Ms
Kent's thoughts. |

Audio/ video & lighting package $6,500 |
Saint Paul the Apostle Church
The client for this event wanted to ensure
that his attendees (participating a
religious symposium in another part of the
building) were "transported to a foreign
space while the somewhat elderly crowd were
still able to see and hear the presenter's
words and view the PowerPoint presentation
and video." This called for distribution of
the sound as it was a very reverberant
space, while combining with LED lighting
around the perimeter of the room. On stage,
the rear projection screen was accompanied
by a number of discretly placed LED and
moving lights to enhance to the various
presentations. We finished of the room look
with break-up patterns to evenly light this
250' x 40' church basement. Our client and
his attendees were thoroughly satisfied.
Here are his comments. |

Beach Tennis
Pictured here is the centre court of the "Beach Tennis
USA" finals. This required care full planning in order
that the crowd of approx. 2,000 spectators could
experience the competitive atmosphere between
participants, while also viewing sponsor messages. We
used a 9' x 12' outdoor video wall on a 24' x 20 stage
w/ hydraulic roof. Through a 20,000W audio system, the
spectators were able to hear live commentary and
background music provided by a DJ while viewing close-up
game action on the video wall. The games continued after
dark as we installed a 40KW conventional lighting system
high atop the scaffolding systems on the four
corners of the court. These lights were occasionally
dimmed to give the event a "cool feeling" by using the
court moving light system and live band on stage. |
